Kelby Collins announced his commitment to Florida Saturday.
Collins chose the Gators over Alabama, Georgia and others.
The senior attends Gardendale High School in Alabama, and he is rated as a four-star recruit on most recruiting sites. His decision to commit to the Gators leaves the Crimson Tide with two defensive line pledges.
With Collins committed to the Gators, Alabama can still recruit him and possibly host him for an official visit in the future before he signs a National Letter of Intent.
Alabama’s staff will also continue to recruit other defensive lineman prospects. James Smith, a five-star defensive tackle, remains uncommitted and a top Alabama defensive line target. Four-star prospects, Jordan Renaud and Edric Hill, are also top targets for the Crimson Tide.
