On Thursday it was learned that NFL and the NFLPA had agreed on the final suspension for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson increasing his time served to 11 games this season.
Throughout Watson’s suspension saga, it’s been a popular trend with NFL fanbases to compare the length of his suspensions to previous players.
But with the newest suspension handed out to Watson, fans were once again quick to point out Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley and the full 17-game suspension he must serve for betting on his team to win games in 2021.
Ridley himself even subtly got in on the reactions.

Calvin Ridley: Full-year suspension

Make it make sense.

Meanwhile, Calvin Ridley’s suspension remains longer than that of Deshaun Watson. SMH

We probably shouldn't compare the suspension of Deshaun Watson with the suspension of Calvin Ridley or DeAndre Hopkins. It's like comparing apples and oranges and sexual assault.
