Drake originally signed with the Raiders in 2021 and played 12 games for the franchise recording 63 attempts for 254 yards and two touchdowns behind fellow former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs. The Raiders gave Drake a two-year deal worth $14.5 million with $11 million guaranteed back in 2021.
Starting his career as a third-round pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, Drake spent his first two-plus seasons with the Miami Dolphins before he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals during the 2019 season. He would remain with the Cardinals in 2020 where he set career highs with 955 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.
