Mac Jones becomes the fourth former Alabama player to record an impressive feat before this NFL season.
He earned team captain honors from the New England Patriots. Jones joins Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins), Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles), and Najee Harris (Pittsburgh Steelers). He set single-season franchise rookie records for passing yards (3,810) and passing touchdowns (22) for the Patriots in 2021. Jones guided New England to a 10-7 record and a playoff berth.

He made his first Pro Bowl as a rookie, helping AFC to a 41-35 victory over NFC.
Jones had a good offseason, improving his body, building more chemistry with his receivers and offensive linemen, and adding more arm strength. People are expecting him to leap in his sophomore year as an emerging young quarterback.
As a team captain, Jones wants to become a better leader.
