Jordan Renaud announced his commitment to Alabama Monday.
Renaud attends Tyler Legacy High School in Texas, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites. His pledge gives Alabama 22 verbal commits from 2023 prospects. The Crimson Tide beat out the Oklahoma Sooners to secure a commitment from the Texas product.
Alabama has been active in its push to land Renaud for multiple months. They got the four-star recruit on campus for an official visit in June and immediately became the favorite to land him after a great visit.

“I feel like I got more perspective,” Renaud told Touchdown Alabama after his visit. “With Alabama being Alabama, a lot of schools try to recruit against Alabama, but they really recruiting for Alabama, making me more interested in them. The reason I took my official visit there first was to get perspective. I felt like I knew it, but I feel like I know it more because I went, and I got to interact with the players and the coaches. I feel I know coach Saban on a whole different level because of the conversation we had over the three days. It was one of the best visits by far.”
The new Alabama commit went on to say Alabama is “DLU.”
“As far as their production goes and how they developed kids, I feel like that is defensive line U for a reason,” said Renaud. “They have my attention for a reason. I think I will be a great addition.”
At 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, Renaud considers himself a ‘swiss-army knife’ because he is one of the most versatile defensive-line prospects in the 2023 recruiting class. He has the potential to line up as an interior defensive lineman or as an edge rusher at the next level.
