University of Alabama football fans can put the 2023 schedule in ink, as the Southeastern Conference released its slate of games for upcoming season. The Crimson Tide is set to compete in 12 contests during the regular season, including five on the road and seven in Tuscaloosa.
For the second straight year, Alabama will kick off its season at home with Middle Tennessee visiting Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sept. 2. On Sept. 9, the Crimson Tide will host future conference foe Texas in Tuscaloosa. It will mark the first trip for the Longhorns to Tuscaloosa since 1902, a span of 121 years.
Alabama will then make its first road trip of the season, venturing to Tampa to square off with South Florida. The SEC slate opens with the Ole Miss Rebels traveling to Tuscaloosa for the 31st time in school history, a series the Crimson Tide leads 28-2 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. September will close for UA with a visit to Mississippi State on Sept. 30.
Flipping into the month of October, UA will visit Texas A&M in College Station, on Oct. 7, before returning home to host Arkansas on Oct. 14 and Tennessee on Oct. 21. The Crimson Tide’s bye week comes in the traditional last week of October before the annual showdown with LSU.
The Tigers will make the trip to Tuscaloosa on Nov. 4 before Alabama hits the road for a Nov. 11 game at the SEC’s northern-most school, Kentucky. Chattanooga closes out the home slate on Nov. 18 before the regular season concludes with a trip to Jordan-Hare Stadium for the Iron Bowl against Auburn on Nov. 25.
The 2023 SEC Championship Game is set for Dec. 2 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
