Malik Blocton felt love from Alabama’s coaches during his recent visit to UA Saturday.
Blocton attends Pike Road High School in Alabama, and he is rated as a four-star recruit. He currently holds 25 D1 offers, including offers from Florida, Auburn and Tennessee. The junior is having a breakout season for the Patriots, and his offer list is expected to grow as a result.
The Pike Road product is enjoying every moment of his recruiting surge.
“It feels amazing because last year around this time, I only had 2 offers from mid-major D1 schools,” Blocton said. “I am now being recruited by the best schools in the country.”
The Crimson Tide hosted Blocton for camp in June, and he described the camp as an ‘amazing’ experience. He got an opportunity to work under Alabama’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach during the camp. His return visit to Tuscaloosa last weekend allowed him to catch up with Nick Saban, Roach and Charles Kelly.

“It was really fun,” Blocton told Touchdown Alabama. “I felt love from all the coaches, especially coach Kelly and coach Roach.”
Alabama has not offered Blocton, but he is a candidate to earn an offer from the Tide in the future. He said receiving an Alabama offer would mean a lot to him.
“It would mean the world to me,” said Blocton. “Alabama is my dream school. I have been an Alabama fan all my life.”
At 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds, Blocton has an impressive frame, and he is projected to be an interior defensive lineman at the next level. The four-star recruit plays with a high motor and has experience lining up at different spots along the defensive front. His power allows him to clog up running lanes, and he can get after the quarterback in passing situations.
