Alabama fans, Dolphins fans, and the NFL world are starting to exhale.
Tua Tagovailoa went down with a scary head and neck injury on Thursday Night Football for Miami versus Cincinnati.
He got carted off the field and immediately taken to the University of Cincinnati Hospital. Tagovailoa sustained neck and back injuries during Miami’s victory over Buffalo. He showed signs of a concussion, but the Dolphins kept him in the matchup.
Several NFL insiders and fans felt he should not have played Thursday, but Tagovailoa started the game. He went down hard and could not get up. The third-year quarterback had to be put on a stretcher. People came to Twitter to offer prayers, warm thoughts, and concerns for Tagovailoa and his family. Since the injury, reports are saying Tagovailoa checked out of the hospital and is home in South Florida. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Tagovailoa is in ‘good spirits’ upon landing with the team.
