Alabama fans are fine with Nick Saban calling off the dogs against some opponents, but they are not feeling so civil for Saturday’s matchup versus Texas A&M at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The game has been circled on calendars since the Aggies earned a 41-38 victory over the Crimson Tide in 2021. Intensity maginified in the offseason as a recruiting dust-up between Saban and Jimbo Fisher happened. Coach Fisher called Saban ‘a narcissist’ and his comments ‘despicable.’ He also told reporters to dig into Saban’s past about how he handles assistant coaches.
Fisher has walked back statements since then, but Alabama wants this matchup.
Touchdown Alabama Magazine conducted a poll for fans about whether Saban should keep things civil with Texas A&M or run the score up. The result was overwhelming as 90.7 percent of fans (1,363 votes) voted to run the score up. It will be interesting to see if Bryce Young or Jalen Milroe starts the game. Several fans left comments on their opinion to run up the score.
Texas A&M week starts today. If given the opportunity, should Nick Saban run the score up or not?

Comments from Alabama fans
Saban will let them keep scoring if it’s off the run game. He only shuts down the passing game once the victory is well (extremely well) secured
