Washington Commanders’ running back, Brian Robinson was activated from the Non Foootball injury list Saturday, and he is expected to be available for the Commanders’ matchup against the Tennessee Titans Sunday.
Robinson was drafted by Washington in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The former Alabama running back was designated by the Commanders to sit out five weeks after he suffered two gunshot wounds during an attempted robbery in August. Washington’s head coach Ron Rivera said he is excited to have Robinson back healthy Friday.
“He had a good week,” Rivera said. “This morning, he was there and he was in good shape. So, we’re pretty fired up.”
Robinson told reporters earlier this week he felt he did everything he needed to do to come back healthy.
“It’s been a long five weeks, but it’s a lot of work,” Robinson said. “We put in a lot of work over that time, and I could say I did everything I needed to do over that time period to make sure I was here today.”
Robinson will suit for his first NFL game Sunday when the Commanders take on the Titans.
