Edwards is a 2024 four-star recruit, and he attends Buford High School in Georgia.
The four-star recruit was one of the top juniors, who attended the Crimson Tide’s game against Texas A&M Saturday. Edwards said the atmosphere inside Bryant-Denny Stadium for the game was crazy.
“It was wild, crazy and lots of fun,” Edwards told Touchdown Alabama. “It was good to see them in action.”
Nick Saban and Alabama’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach were able to catch up with Edwards during his visit. He has been in constant contact with Alabama’s cornerbacks coach Travaris Robinson as of late.

“He (Roach) is a beast,” Edwards said. “In the past, we have spoken about player development and good communication with coaches. This time, we spoke about my goals and what I look forward to this season. I communicate with coach T-Rob the most, about twice a week.”
Edwards has not played in a game for Buford this season due to a surgery he underwent. He is hopeful he can make a return to the field this season with a vengeance.
“The season is not over,” Edwards said. “I will speak to the surgeon this week and hopefully get cleared to play next month. Last season, I averaged 1.5 sacks a game. My goal now is to strip sack.”
At 6-foot-5, and 243 pounds, Edwards flashed as an edge rusher and as a tight end during his sophomore season. Many schools are offering him the opportunity to play on either side of the football at the next level.

The Alabama target plans to take multiple visits over the next several months.
“I have a few more visits,” said Edwards. “I will revisit my top schools in the spring and make my decision in August 2023.”
