ESPN First Take crew has Tennessee upsetting Alabama football

Tim Fuller - USA Today Sports

Alabama head coach Nick Saban is seeing the University of Tennessee get all the rat poison.

Several national media pundits have the Crimson Tide on upset alert for Saturday’s matchup.

Bryce Young, Alabama’s starting quarterback, could be back for the game at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn. According to Stephen A. Smith and the ESPN First Take crew, Alabama will lose to the Volunteers without Young. Paul Finebaum said even with Young, the Tide is not the vintage Alabama team people have grown accustomed to seeing under Saban. Smith said Jalen Milroe is ‘not the answer’ at quarterback and he ‘does not like what he’s seeing from Alabama.’ Finebaum said Alabama is ‘a troubled team at times’ and ‘it was lucky to defeat Texas A&M.’ Saban is using this to have his team ready to play its best game.

CBS will have the call on the “Third Saturday in October” rivalry at 2:30 p.m. CT.
