Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt believes Hendon Hooker will lead Tennessee to win over Alabama

Multiple members of the national media have predicted Tennessee will beat Alabama this weekend, and Joel Klatt joined the group Thursday.

Klatt said he feels Tennesse’s starting quarterback, Hendon Hooker, will give Alabama problems during his preview of this weekend of college football.

“Now, I thought what was most impressive about Tennessee last was their quarterback,” Klatt said. “He is fantastic. This is what they struggled with in the first quarter against Texas is that Quinn Ewers could hurt them down the field. When it comes to down-the-field passing, nobody. Well, maybe Ohio State does it better than Tennessee and nobody else. Hendon Hooker has 40 touchdowns, over 40 touchdowns, only three interceptions since transferring to Tennessee.”

The Fox Sports analyst went on to say he felt Tennessee was a bad matchup for Alabama.

“It is a bad matchup for Alabama plus Alabama does not know about the status of their quarterback and they struggled on the road in the last couple of years, really since they lost a dominant offensive line. They have struggled on the road. Neyland is going to be on fire, Hendon Hooker is playing as good as anybody. I think Tennessee wins this weekend.”

Alabama and Tennessee will battle it out Saturday in Neyland Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CST.
