Mental mistakes have Alabama trailing Tennessee at halftime

Tennessee fans enjoyed the first half of Alabama versus the Volunteers at Neyland Stadium.

Mental mistakes have the Crimson Tide trailing 20-28 at halftime. Alabama had 10 penalties and lost a fumble.

Bryce Young started the matchup for Alabama. He completed 17 of 26 passes for 205 yards and a touchdown.

Ja’Corey Brooks, a sophomore, caught a 7-yard touchdown from Young. Brooks had four catches for 48 yards, but Cameron Latu leads the Tide in receiving with four receptions for 66 yards. Jahmyr Gibbs is Alabama’s leading rushing with 15 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Alabama allowed two touchdown passes from Hendon Hooker.

Hooker completed 12 of 16 passes for 166 yards. Tennessee raced to a 21-7 lead before the Tide settled in.

Alabama is fortunate to be in the game, but it needs to make adjustments in the second half.
