The Twitter account for Tennessee football is asking its followers for help after Vols’ fans tore down both goalposts in Neyland Stadium after Tennessee defeated Alabama.
When the clock hit 0:00 and the scoreboard read 52-49, Tennessee fans poured onto the field and took aim at both goalposts. Both were torn down and dumped in the Tennessee River, according to the tweet. Tennessee needs two new goal posts in Neyland before it’s next game.
“Y’all remember how we tore the goalposts down hauled em out of Neyland and dumped em in the Tennessee River.” Read the tweet. “Yeah that was awesome. Anywho, turns out that in order to play next week’s game, we need goalposts on our field. Could y’all help us out?”
