It appears as though Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton may play against Mississippi State.

The transfer from Georgia got involved in an incident with a Tennessee fan after last week’s game. Burton allegedly struck a female Tennessee student that stormed the field after the Volunteers earned a 52-49 victory. Coach Nick Saban released a statement, saying the Crimson Tide is gathering information on the issue and will handle things internally with Burton.

Burton is on the field for Alabama in pregame warmups for tonight’s game versus the Bulldogs.

He has 18 catches for 266 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
