Desmond Ricks announced his top three and his Dec. 23 commitment date Thursday.
Ricks attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and he is rated as a five-star recruit. He recently re-classified to the 2023 recruiting class. The new 2023 recruit listed Alabama, LSU and Florida as his final three.
The Crimson Tide hosted Ricks last month. He previously told Touchdown Alabama he knows he can be developed at UA.
“They are known for just producing,” Ricks said at the Future 50 media day. “That is what Alabama does. If I go there, I know that is somewhere I will definitely be developed. I feel like they are deep into defensive backs. Coach Saban is actually out there coaching defensive backs himself. That means a lot.”
The Alabama target said he is looking for a program to develop him.
“I am looking for somewhere I can be taken care of and be developed by a great defensive back coach,” Ricks said.
LSU will host Ricks this weekend when they take in the Tide.
