Once Mike McDaniel was named the head coach it wasn’t long before many in the NFL communities started to believe in Tua Tagovailoa again.
After battling injuries and dysfunction throughout the early portion of his career, Tagovailoa is playing the best football of his professional career with the Dolphins. But as all Dolphins fans are now believers in him, Tagovailoa and the rest of the team have a shared belief in each other to reach their biggest goals.
And they aren’t afraid to say them out loud.
Tagovailoa shared with the media that he and his teammates aren’t shying away about talking about their Super Bowl aspirations this season.
“I think throughout OTAs and throughout training camp, we could see the potential that we had as a team offensively and defensively, and we’re not afraid to talk about Super Bowls here,” Tagovailoa said earlier this week. “We’re not afraid to talk about going to a playoff game, having an opportunity to go to one and then hopefully winning one.
“But, yeah, if you were to ask me that, I would say I have full belief that we are capable, even with the trades that we’ve had.”
The Dolphins currently sit at 5-3 on the season ahead of its matchup against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. But a busy day at the trade deadline has raised the team’s expectations for the remainder of the season.
