Alabama is officially at its low point in the 2022 season but that doesn’t mean its future opponents are taking it any less seriously.
The Crimson Tide are due to travel to Ole Miss this weekend following its devastating loss to LSU and Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin is trying to shut down all of the rat poison he can before taking on his former boss.
Kiffin’s conquest to tone down the rat poison began with a text exchange with ESPN’s Paul Finebaum following his comments regarding Alabama.
Finebaum said after the Crimson Tide’s loss on Saturday that “The window on the Saban dynasty is closing” which wasn’t the kind of bulletin board material Kiffin would like out in the public before his team kicks off.
When speaking to Finebaum, Kiffin penned a new term for what the radio host’s words can give to Alabama, saying that Finebaum’s comments could be considered “Goat Fuel.”
How many times is he going to have to prove you wrong??? @finebaum @SECNetwork @AlabamaFTBL 🐐 ⛽️!! Stop please!!! https://t.co/ky7jB6D9n8

“I texted Finebaum on my over here, when I saw his quotes, like he normally does, that says the Nick Saban dynasty is over and all that,” Kiffin said to the media. “Every time he says this, I tell him, all he does is, I call it like, GOAT Fuel, opposite of Rat Poison. You’re just giving the GOAT fuel… So, I really appreciate Paul saying that right after the game.”
Per usual Kiffin will provide much more entertainment leading into Saturday’s matchup with Alabama.
