Alabama quarterback Bryce Young addressed the media on Monday as he officially made his announcement to enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
Young capped off a stellar career with the Crimson Tide on Saturday in the team’s 45-20 win over Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl. The California native completed 15-of-21 passes for 321 yards and five passing touchdowns on the day.
After serving as a backup during Alabama’s national championship-winning season in 2020, Young took over as the starting quarterback during the 2021 season where he instantly became one of the top players in the sport. That season he became the Crimson Tide’s first quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy while also leading the team to the national championship game where it ultimately fell to Georgia.
In his three seasons at Alabama, Young has thrown for a total of 8,356 yards, 80 touchdowns and completed 65.8% of his passes. He also finishes his career with an overall record of 24-4 as the team’s starting quarterback.
