Branch may have played his way into the first round after a strong performance in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The Crimson Tide has another name to make a decision Tuesday on whether he should turn pro or return to school for next season. Eli Ricks, a former transfer from Louisiana State University, will have his decision at 1:00 p.m. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder played 11 games — including five starts — as a cornerback. He earned the first career start of his junior year against Mississippi State, collecting a team-high four pass breakups. Ricks ended the season with 13 tackles and four breakups.
After a promising freshman year at LSU, he does not have the tape to show NFL teams enough consistency.
Ricks would benefit from another year at Alabama, but we will see what he decides.
