Henry To’oto’o becomes the second senior for Alabama football to pen a heartfelt message to Crimson Tide fans as he declares for the NFL Draft.
The veteran middle linebacker joined safety Jordan Battle with his decision.

To’oto’o arrived on the University of Alabama campus as a transfer from Tennessee in 2021. He led the team in tackles (113) and totaled 8.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, two quarterback hurries, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble. To’oto’o assisted the Tide’s defense to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a College Football Playoff appearance. He returned as an experienced leader in 2022, posting 89 tackles (second on the team), seven tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and a quarterback hurry.

The California native earned first-team All-SEC honors from the league’s coaches. To’oto’o accepted an invitation to play in the Reese’s Senior Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 4 in Mobile, Ala. His departure to the pros opens the door for Deontae Lawson, Kendrick Blackshire, or Justin Jefferson (junior college transfer) to possibly start next season.
