Aeryn Hampton is looking forward to visiting Alabama football this weekend after earning an offer from the Crimson Tide last April.
Hampton is a 2024 recruit out of Daingerfield High School in Texas. He garners a four-star rating from most recruiting sites, and he is projected to be either a cornerback or wide receiver at the next level. The Texas product currently has Alabama in his top 10, and he is pumped to get to Tuscaloosa this weekend.
“I look forward to meeting the whole staff, really seeing what the campus is like, how the academics are and how the football facilities are because that is where I’ll be spending the most of my time,” Hampton told Touchdown Alabama.
Alabama’s wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggin offered Hampton in April when he was a Texas commit. He has de-committed from the Longhorns. When he earned an offer from Alabama, he referred to the Crimson Tide as wide receiver U.
“I love it,” said Hampton. “I love the tradition and everything about it.”
Wiggins has maintained his relationship with Hampton.
“I have a great relationship with coach Wiggins,” said Hampton. “We talk probably like once a week. I have not talked to coach Saban yet, I sure will this weekend, being this is my first time going down there.”
Hampton has flashed on both sides of the football with his speed and effort at 5-foot-10 and approximately 175 pounds. He was an exciting playmaker to watch at wide receiver as a junior, pulling in 55 receptions for 1,161 yards and 13 touchdowns.
