Demello Jones visited Alabama for the first time this weekend since picking up an offer from the Crimson Tide.

Jones attends Swainsboro High School in Georgia. The Alabama target is a member of the 2024 recruiting class, and he has the potential to play a few different positions at the next level.

Alabama’s tight end coach Joe Cox informed Jones of his offer from the Crimson Tide in November. The Georgia product made his first visit to Alabama as a target Saturday, and he enjoyed it to the fullest.

“I feel in love with Tuscaloosa,” said Jones. “They made me feel like I was home already. I loved everything about the visit.”

Jones’ Saturday visit allowed him to catch up with coach Cox and meet Nick Saban. Saban and Jones talked a lot about football and things outside of the game.

“He told me a lot of things about Alabama that could help me in not just football but also in life,” Jones said.

Swainsboro allowed Jones to be a playmaker at multiple positions during the 2022 football season. Alabama football likes him at cornerback with his 6-foot-1 frame.

“They like me as a corner now,” said Jones. “They like me as a corner because I am long, athletic, fast and have loose hips.”

The junior said Alabama is definitely one of the top schools he is considering after the visit.
