Multiple SEC teams standing out to 6-foot-8 OL Jac’Qawn McRoy

Jac'Qawn McRoy

Jac’Qawn McRoy is a massive offensive lineman prospect who has multiple SEC programs in hot pursuit of him.

McRoy attends Clay-Chalkville High School in Alabama. He currently holds more than 15 Division 1 offers. Multiple SEC programs are standing out to the 6-foot-8 offensive linemen, including Arkansas and Auburn.

The Clay-Chalkville product has visited the Razorbacks ‘a lot,’ and he has built a strong relationship with Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman.

“He talks to me, like he recruits me himself,” McRoy said. “Normally, they got an area recruiter, but he calls me himself.”

McRoy also has a solid relationship with Auburn’s coaching staff and the Tigers’ offensive line coach Jake Thornton.

“I knew Coach Thorn ever since he was in Ole Miss, so really he just changed colors because we still got the same relationship. It is pretty good with coach Cadillac as well.”

Alabama football has not offered McRoy yet, but he does have interest in the Tide, and he is working to possibly earn an offer from them.

“It will mean a lot,” said McRoy. “You get an opportunity to be a home-state hero, at Auburn as well. That is the reason I am on my diet for real. They wanted me at a certain weight before they offer me. So, I am just grinding.”

It is hard to miss McRoy, who stands at 6-foot-8 and weighs approximately 360 pounds. He is looking to drop some weight this off-season and improve on his game.

“I want to improve my flexibility,” McRoy said. “I also want be able to lock onto the defender and get better at staying engaged with a defender.”
