Nick Saban and multiple members of Alabama football’s coaching staff stopped by Lindale High School in Texas to check in on Casey Poe earlier this week.

Poe is a 2024 offensive lineman prospect, who the Crimson Tide offered in November. He garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites, and he holds more than 15 D1 offers at the moment.
Alabama’s offensive line coach Eric Wolford has been in constant contact with Poe since November. Other members of Alabama’s staff have been talking with Poe as of late as well.
“It has been great,” Poe told Touchdown Alabama. “We are talking on the phone multiple times a week. Coach Saban stopped by the school the other day. I think that is the second day someone has been on campus. I speak the most probably with coach Wolford. We text multiple times a week about different things.”
The Texas product said he respected the Alabama football culture when he earned an offer in November.
“Alabama has always been a school my family and I have followed, so this was a really big one,” Poe told Touchdown Alabama. “It is a very solid program and a largely respected coaching staff. The culture is very strong, and the pillars that it is grounded in are amazing examples of how a program should be run.”
At 6-foot-5 and 280 pounds, Poe is a multi-sport athlete. He has experience playing tackle and guard. Wolford told Poe he feels he is one of the top offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class in November.

Poe plans to return to Alabama this Spring to take in spring practice. He wants to make a decision before his senior season after taking multiple official visits during the summer.
“I am going to take official visits this summer and try to have a decision by the beginning of next season,” said Poe.
