Alabama football offered Crawford in October when the Crimson Tide’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach extended an offer to him. The sophomore said earning an offer from Alabama football gave him more motivation to show improvement.
“It means a lot,” Crawford said. “It is like hometown, it is in the state, not too far away. They offered me for a reason, so I just got to show why they offered.”
Multiple schools have hosted Crawford visits in the past, including Miami, Texas, Mississippi State, Clemson and Tennessee.
The 6-foot-3, 290-pounder was an explosive interior defensive lineman as a sophomore. He displayed impressive lateral movement and movement in space for a player his size. Crawford also showed his strength and power by blowing offensive linemen off the ball at times.
