Alabama football is shopping in Illinois again for another big offensive lineman as it offered Marques Easley Saturday.
Easley is a product of Kankakee High School in Illinois. The 2024 product is rated as a three-star recruit on multiple recruiting sites. He holds more than 20 D1 offers.
Alabama landed Miles McVay out of Illinois during the 2023 recruiting cycle.
Nick Saban had a conversation with Easley before offering him. He was shocked when Saban told him he earned an offer.
“I did not even believe it,” Easley told Touchdown Alabama. I was just like wow. It is a great program, better than you think.”
Easley also said it was ‘amazing’ to meet Saban. Alabama’s offensive line coach Eric Wolford previously had a relationship with Easley.
At 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, Saban feels Easley is just an athlete. The offensive-tackle prospect possesses impressive mobility and carries his weight really well. He plans to visit Alabama again in the future.
