Jakob Gude earned an Alabama offer from Nick Saban on junior day after Saban watched his film.
Gude is a rising 2024 recruit out of Georgia. His recruitment is currently on fire with offers flying his way.
The new Alabama target has picked up ten D1 offers in January alone. The Tide joined the race Saturday when Saban extended an offer to the junior. Gude said it was the best news ever and said he loved Alabama.
“I love it, honestly,” Gude told Touchdown Alabama. “They produce greatness down there in Tuscaloosa, and I am trying to be great one day.”
Saban told Gude he ‘loved’ his film and mentioned he liked how ‘versatile’ he is upon offering him.
“It was surreal,” Gude said when asked about meeting Saban. “I grew up watching Alabama football dominate, and he was the head man behind all of it, so it was just really special to me.”
Gude can not wait to get back to T-Town.
“I loved it in Tuscaloosa,” said Gude. “I will camp there too.”
At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Gude made plays on the defensive side of the football for Sandy Creek High School en route to a state championship. He was a physical tackler, who was always around the football. He showed the type of playmaking ability that should help him work his way to near the top of Alabama’s defensive back board.
