He is unbiased as a college football analyst for ESPN, but Roman Harper had to check one of his colleagues on Twitter.

Before the College Football Playoff National Championship Game between Georgia and TCU, Bulldogs’ alum David Pollack told Alabama head coach Nick Saban on set that Georgia is ‘the king of college football.’ Saban was not smiling after the comment, and neither was the Crimson Tide fan base. The Bulldogs are two-time national champions, but the Tide is focused on disrupting their momentum. Harper, a former Alabama safety, quote tweeted an interview of DeVonta Smith sharing with a Philadelphia Eagles reporter where his focused mindset comes from. The former first-round pick said he got it from “Bama” and Coach Saban.

Smith is heading to the Super Bowl. Jalen Hurts, Landon Dickerson, and Josh Jobe are going to as Alabama alums.

Harper fired back at Pollack with, “I mean is there any better example of what Alabama football is? The Standard is what it is. … David Pollack, what are your thoughts?”

We will see how Pollack responds.
