Watch: What Alabama’s offense could look like under Tommy Rees

Alabama fans were initially disappointed upon seeing Notre Dame’s Tommy Rees emerge as the top candidate for the Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator opening.

However, the 30-year-old may be what Nick Saban wants. Rees is young enough to adjust, change plays, and offset opposing defenses at the right time. He coordinated offenses and coached quarterbacks for six years (2017-22) with the Fighting Irish.

Rees, a former Notre Dame quarterback, put together sophisticated play designs. His creativity set the Irish up for marquee explosive plays, especially when the players executed them well. On a couple of plays, Notre Dame did not execute and an opportunity was lost. As we look at what Alabama’s offense could be under Rees, a few of his play designs are below.

The Crimson Tide reportedly offered him the job, but we will see if he takes it.
