Group of teams standing out to Travaris Banks with commitment date set

Travaris Banks

Northridge’s junior defensive back, Travaris Banks has his commitment date set for June 18 with a group of schools trending upwards in his recruitment after recent visits.

Banks is rated as a four-star recruit, and he is considered one of the state of Alabama’s top overall 2024 prospects. He holds multiple D1 offers, including offers from Alabama. Auburn and Florida.

The Tuscaloosa, Alabama product had a very busy January. Banks visited Auburn, Florida, Florida State and Tennessee last month, and each program sits in a good position with him. With a decision approaching in the coming months, the four-star is looking for the school that wants him.

“I am going to look at what coaches I have the best communication with, wherever place I get developed the best at and get my education,” Banks said.

Banks has ‘heavy interest’ in Florida State after visiting Tallahassee. He also enjoyed his trip to Florida ‘a lot’ and described his trip to Knoxville to check out Tennessee as ‘lit.’

The Auburn Tigers are gaining momentum on the recruiting trail, and Banks is liking what he is seeing.

“I also love Auburn a lot too,” said Banks.  “I am really interested in them.”

Alabama has offered Banks and hosted him multiple times. He is unsure when he will get back, to check out the Tide, but he previously stated he was building a good bond with Alabama’s cornerbacks coach Travaris Robinson.

“Contact with them has been good,” said Banks. “I have been in contact with T-Rob. We got a good bond, and we got the same name. We just instantly clicked.”

At 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Banks will have an opportunity to play all over the secondary at the next level. He is eager to play wherever he is needed.

“Safety, defense back, nickel, wherever they need me,” Banks told Touchdown Alabama when discussing what position he will like to play at the next level.
