A second former Alabama player has weighed in on Nick Saban’s decision to hire Kevin Steele as a defensive coordinator.
Marquis Maze, a two-time BCS National Champion, joined Reggie Ragland in voicing approval.

Maze played wide receiver from 2008 to 2011. He shared via Twitter his excitement to have Steele back with the Crimson Tide. The 64-year-old was Maze’s recruiter went he came from Tarrant (Ala.) High School in the 2008 signing class.

Maze believes Saban made a ‘great hire’ with Steele, and he feels that Steele will bring the toughness back.
