He dominated the running back position in the NFC East for 13 years with the Dallas Cowboys, but Emmitt Smith is pulling for one player in Sunday’s Super Bowl.
Super Bowl 57 has Patrick Mahomes versus Jalen Hurts as Kansas City faces Philadelphia. Smith was a three-time Super Bowl Champion for the Cowboys in the 1990s and is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. As a former Southeastern Conference legend for the Florida Gators, Smith says the Eagles ‘will win’ the Super Bowl over Kansas City because of Hurts.

“I love him,” Smith said about Hurts. “He is a proven champion. They have a great chance of winning this week, and he is the reason why they will win.”
Smith had many battles against the Eagles in his career, but he sees the greatness in Hurts. The third-year quarterback needed two seasons as a starter to position Philadelphia for this moment. A victory on Sunday would create a lot of history for Hurts.

He put all doubts to rest with his growth as a passer in 2022, but a Super Bowl ring would silence everything.
We will see if he can outperform Mahomes on the biggest stage of pro football.
