Nick Saban hired Kevin Steele as the Crimson Tide’s defensive coordinator.

The 64-year-old served as a coordinator in 2007 under Saban. He instilled toughness, physicality, and accountability into his players. Former Tide players are excited to have Steele return, and fans are starting to like it too. In a recent poll for Touchdown Alabama Magazine, almost 70 percent (69.4) of Alabama fans approved the hire of Steele. Over 3,000 people voted, but the consensus is they are looking forward to seeing what Steele does with this defense — especially in spring practice.
