The sports world took to social media to react after the Chiefs defeated Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
Here are some of their reactions:
Awful call!! ruined a phenomenal Super Bowl
Brutal officiating

I HATE IT THAT SUCH A GREAT GAME WAS DECIDED BY SUCH A CHEAP BAD TICKY-TACK CALL. LET THE PLAYERS DECIDE A GAME LIKE THIS. JUST SICKENING.

Sorry but I don’t like that call! Not for the Super Bowl man! 🤦🏾♂️
— LeBron James (@KingJames) February 13, 2023
I hate this for Jalen Hurts. He was the best player on the field. If ever a player from the losing team deserved Super Bowl MVP – happened once before – Jalen Hurts deserves Super Bowl MVP.

Such a great game ruined at the end by the refs/NFL at the very end to gift the #Chiefs the win.
Jalen Hurts was going to be the MVP, clearly outplayed any player in this game including Mahomes but the refs had to ruin it.

I’m happy for Pat but I hate the way this game ended man!!! You Don’t call that man!!!

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Jalen Hurts, it’s that he won’t give up on himself. This won’t be his only shot at a ring.

Refs really decide the biggest game of the year 🤬

Jalen, Smitty, & Landon played their ass off. Proud of those guys

The script don’t surprise me but that was blatantly wild😭

The life of a DB smh… I can’t believe they called that flag on Bradberry. Like that changed the whole game… they have to start reviewing penalties. If not it’s going to water down the game. They just pick and choose when they want to flag dbs it’s ridiculous.

One Human determined the outcome of the Super Bowl, until next year, good night
