The University of Alabama could have four football players taken in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Bryce Young (quarterback) and Will Anderson Jr. (outside linebacker) are concrete names, but Jahmyr Gibbs’ versatility makes him a first-round talent. He needed one season in the Southeastern Conference as a running back to capture everyone’s attention.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder finished 2022 with 926 rushing yards, including three 100+ yard performances.
He totaled 10 touchdowns (three touchdown catches) and 444 receiving yards. Gibbs was the Crimson Tide’s most consistent pass catcher, leading the team with 44 receptions. His speed, acceleration, and catching abilities fit today’s player in the National Football League at running back. Mike Golic Jr., a former ESPN analyst, is very impressed with Gibbs. He stated on Twitter that he watched Alabama games for Bryce Young, but could not stop looking at Gibbs. Golic compared him to Alvin Kamara.

Gibbs, a native Georgian, does have a skill set similar to Kamara’s. He has been invited to participate in the NFL’s Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. People will look at how fast he runs in the 40-yard dash. Gibbs should be a first-rounder, especially if he performs well at the combine. He assisted the Tide to an Allstate Sugar Bowl victory to end the 2022 season.
