Vigor 4-Star OT Micah Debose ‘never expected’ to get Alabama offer

Micah Debose

Micah Debose reported an offer from Alabama football earlier this month.

Debose is a sophomore at Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites. He holds more than 20 D1 offers, and the 2025 recruit is currently verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Alabama jumped in on Debose’s recruitment on Feb. 8.

The 2025 recruit said the offer caught him by surprise.

“It feels great,” Debose said. “I never expected I would get an offer from them, so me getting it was a big blessing. It is one of the best programs ever made.”

Debose also gave his thoughts on Alabama football’s head coach Nick Saban.

“He will go down as one of the best college football coaches ever,” said Debose.

The Crimson Tide will get the in-state on campus for an unofficial visit on March 4 for its junior day.

At 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Debose is already considered one of the nation’s top 2025 offensive tackles. He paves the way for Vigor’s running attack as he destroys defenders while run blocking in space as he has shown an ability to get to the second level.

Debose is locked in with the Bulldogs at the moment, but Alabama could become heavily involved in his recruitment in the future.
