Alabama football enrolled a good portion of its 2023 recruiting class in January.
Each of the Crimson Tide’s early enrollees will participate in the Crimson Tide’s full off-season program. Touchdown Alabama will highlight each of Alabama’s newest additions over the next few weeks in an article series.
We continue our series with the nation’s top 2023 JUCO linebacker, Justin Jefferson.
Justin Jefferson

–Position: Linebacker
-Hometown: Memphis, Tennessee
-Height: 6-1
-Weight: 215 pounds
–Summary: Jefferson is not only considered one of the fastest linebackers on Alabama’s roster. The Tennessee product is believed to be one of the Tide’s fastest players, overall.
He reportedly once ran a 4.38 forty-yard dash, and his speed and explosiveness translate over to the gridiron
At 6-foot-1 and 21 pounds, Jefferson will be called on to add some more weight to his frame.
Jefferson attacked ball carries during his sophomore season at Pearl River. He closed on the football with exceptional speed and made ball carriers feel him with dominant tackles once he reached them. He was also dynamic as a blitzing linebacker as he exploded through rushing lanes to get home.
The JUCO product moved effortlessly as a linebacker in coverage as well.
Alabama returns a young group of linebackers and Jefferson will be one of the most experienced linebackers on the Crimson Tide’s roster next season. Jefferson is a player to watch out for this spring.
