College football powers recruiting 4-Star DL Malik Blocton hard

Malik Blocton saw his recruitment pick up in a big way in January when he picked up 10 new offers, including offers from Alabama and Georgia.

Blocton is now trying to sort through his recruitment after going from having a top 12 in November to his recruitment having a much different outlook now with recent offers.

The Auburn Tigers have been an active part of Blocton’s recruitment since offering him over two years ago. His brother, Marcus Harris is a senior defensive lineman for the Tigers. The Pike Road product plans to be back in Auburn Friday.

Blocton told Touchdown Alabama Auburn is just one of the schools showing him a lot of love.

“Alabama, Georgia, Auburn and Florida,” Blocton answered when asked which schools are recruiting him the hardest. “Clemson is a new school. They are recruiting me pretty hard too.”

Blocton does not have any other visits scheduled, but he plans to be back in Tuscaloosa next month. The Crimson Tide offered him in January and have worked on building a relationship with him as of late.

“It has been a good relationship,” said Blocton. “I just got on the phone with coach Roach a couple of days ago. He asked me questions about what I look for in a program. I told him somewhere I can go to the league, win championships and get developed as a player.”

Multiple programs will attempt to get the 6-foot-4, 265-pounder on campus in the near future. He has a rough decision timeline at the moment.

“At some time during the season or if I do not commit during the season, I am going go wait till signing day,” Blocton said.

Top programs are expected to continue to battle it out for Blocton.
