Tuscaloosa County 4-Star RB Kevin Riley has close relationship with Alabama

KEVIN RILEY

Kevin Riley is considered one of the most explosive running backs in the 2024 recruiting class, and his recruitment is a reflection of his play on the field.

Riley attends Tuscaloosa County High School in Northport, Alabama. He holds more than 25 D1 offers, including offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU and others. A few different schools are standing out to him ahead of a busy spring.

“Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU,” said Riley when asked which other schools are standing out to him outside of Alabama. “I am really looking at Tennessee as well. I got a couple of visit dates over the spring I got planned.”

The Crimson Tide offered Riley in October. The Tide’s staff have worked to build a good relationship with him.

“My relationship is close,” Riley said when asked about his relationship with Alabama. “I could go down there, visit whenever I am ready. It is right in the backyard, like 10 minutes away from home. So, I feel like I have a pretty good connection and relationship with Bama as of right now.”

A few Tuscaloosa natives have suited up for the Tide at running back under Nick Saban. Bo Scarbrough and Brian Robinson were the latest to do so. Riley feels grateful he has the rare opportunity to follow in the footsteps of those backs.

“You don’t really see a lot of people out of Tuscaloosa get an opportunity or get the offer from Bama, so once I got that, I could not take that for granted because a lot of people from Tuscaloosa do not get that.”

Riley does not have a commitment timeline in mind, but he is working on sorting things out.

“I’ve been thinking about that too,” said Riley. “I haven’t really made my full decision yet, but I’m narrowing my decisions down. I am going to do officials over the summer. For this spring, I am doing unofficials.”
