Jordan Ross made it to Tuscaloosa to visit Alabama for the first time since picking up an offer from the Crimson Tide last month, and he left with a different outlook.
Ross attends Vestavia Hills High School in Alabama. He garners a four-star rating from most recruiting sites and is considered one of the most physically-gifted players in the country.
Alabama shocked the in-state recruit when they offered him last month. Since he did not have much contact about an offer with the Tide in the past, he was unsure when we finally earned it. Fortunately for Alabama, Ross’ visit to Alabama Saturday for junior day shocked him in a good way.
“It was unbelievable,” Ross told Touchdown Alabama. “I didn’t expect it to be like that.”
Nick Saban has talked with Ross in the past, including during a gameday visit during the season. Ross’ Saturday conversation with Saban felt different and more personal.
”It was unreal talking to coach Saban,” Ross said. “He pretty much knew everything about me.”
Alabama is trending upwards with Ross after his latest visit.
“I think they stand pretty good now,” said Ross. “They say I have a good opportunity there, and I like to hear that.”
The Vestavia Hills product is considering taking multiple official visits this spring ahead of a decision before or after his senior season. Ross has one official visit locked in. He will be in Tennessee on the weekend of June 23rd.
At 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Ross is a long and athletic prospect who thrives when he is asked to play in space.
The four-star recruit turned heads in Atlanta last week at the Under Armour Next Camp. He put on an explosive performance, clocking in a 4.4 forty.
4-Star Jordan Ross @Childsplay_205 turned heads in Atlanta Sunday.
He clocked in a 4.4 forty at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds.
The Tide will host him this weekend, but other SEC programs are standing out.

Alabama will look to capitalize on the momentum they have with Ross as Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee and South Carolina and others remain heavily in the mix.
