Keyshawn Flowers earned an Alabama offer Monday from one of Alabama football’s newest coaching hires.
Flowers attends Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Maryland. Alabama is the 26th D1 program to offer the junior. The Maryland product is not ranked on most major recruiting sites, but that is expected to change in the near future.
Flowers’ recruitment has been on fire over the last few months. He earned eight offers in January, 14 in February and has added two more this month.
Alabama jumped in on Flowers’ recruitment via a phone call earlier this week.
“I was offered on the phone by the new inside linebacker coach Robert Bala,” Flowers told Touchdown Alabama. “I was extremely excited. I was being recruited by coach Wolf (Eric Wolford). Coach Bala said when he got there, coach Wolf asked him about me and coach Bala already knew who I was because he offered me when he was at Liberty. So he went over my film again and called me later.”
The 2024 recruit has a great amount of respect for the Alabama program.
“I’ve been a big fan of Alabama football for a long time,” Flowers said. “There is not too much that has to be said. They’re a great program that wins. They’re another one of those teams I immediately put on a pedestal since I have watched them play and succeed for so long.”
Flowers plan to be in Tuscaloosa on the 14th.
At 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, Flowers finished his junior season with 81 tackles, five sacks and 11 tackles for loss. He displayed an ability to shoot gaps with explosiveness and got after the quarterback with impressive quickness when blitzing.
