A blockbuster trade happened Friday in the National Football League.
The Chicago Bears gave the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and wide receiver DJ Moore. Carolina now has the No. 1 pick and is in the market for an elite quarterback. Bryce Young has been regarded as the top signal-caller in this class, but do the Panthers select him?

Some NFL Draft pundits have shown concerns about his height, but others don’t see it as a deal breaker.
Young has also drawn comparisons to two-time Super Bowl Champion, Patrick Mahomes II. Jamie Erdahl Buckman, an NFL reporter on Good Morning Football, said the former Alabama quarterback is ‘an unbelievable talent.’ Young became the first Crimson Tide quarterback in school history to win the Heisman Trophy. He earned it as a sophomore in 2021 for the Tide.
“This young man is an unbelievable talent. What I’ve always loved most about watching him play is… He’s got a Patrick Mahomes ability…”@JamieErdahl on Bryce Young pic.twitter.com/XZoSfJH45L

“When a play breaks down, Bryce Young can make it happen,” Erdahl said. “It is not chaotic, he is not panicking, he legitimately plays well and passes well outside the pocket. He is a great quarterback.”
People, including Coach Saban, have likened Young’s skill set to a point guard in basketball. He sees the field well, processes information well, distributes passes accurately and on time, and his leadership is exceptional. Young was a two-time team captain for the Crimson Tide. He posted 8,200 passing yards and 79 passing touchdowns in two seasons as a starter.
Young won a College Football Playoff National Championship (2020) and two Southeastern Conference Championships (2020, 2021) at Alabama. Now, the former five-star has a chance to show everyone that height is not a huge deal in the NFL.
