Jalen Hurts knows how to captivate attention with words of wisdom.
The 24-year-old took the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance in his third season in the National Football League as a former second-round pick. He dominated Super Bowl LVII, totaling 304 passing yards, 70 rushing yards, and four touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs. Philadelphia’s defense could not stop Patrick Mahomes II in a 35-38 loss for the Eagles; however, Hurts did all he could to position the team to victory. In his second year as a starter, the native Texan proved he’s become a complete quarterback. He collected 3,701 passing yards, 10th among quarterbacks in the league, in the regular seasons, and 35 total touchdowns. Hurts won the Bert Bell Award at the Maxwell Football Club Award Ceremony. The honor goes to the NFL Player of the Year presented by the Maxwell Football Club. He was honored to win the award, but he reminded everyone what his goal is. As a former Alabama signal-caller, Hurts is not satisfied with making it to the Super Bowl.
“Y’all don’t get used to that other thing we did. We plan on finishing moving forward. I’m never ever satisfied. It’s only the beginning.”

“Y’all don’t get used to the other thing we did,” Hurts said about the Eagles making it to the Super Bowl.
“We plan on finishing things moving forward. I know y’all love the game, but I love it a lot. I know Coach Sirianni and everyone in the building is looking forward to what is to come. It is only the beginning like mom said, it is only the beginning. I know I did not walk through the fire just to smell the smoke.”

Hurts is going after a Vince Lombardi Trophy. He was close to it in February, but it slipped away.
His determination, work ethic, and continued growth will return the Eagles to the playoffs. He has an opportunity to win a Super Bowl ring very young in his professional career.
