Jamarrion Gordon already has two power five offers next to his name, and he is just a freshman.
Gordon is a product of Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama, and he is a member of the 2026 recruiting class.
Penn State and Texas A&M have both offered the freshman.
“It feels good to have them at a young age,” Gordon told Touchdown Alabama when asked about his offers.
In-state programs, Alabama and Auburn, have not offered Gordon but both are showing interest in him at the moment. He feels an offer from either one of them and the opportunity to stay inside his home state to play college football would be special to him.
“It would mean a lot, especially Auburn, knowing my cousin plays there,” said Gordon. “Knowing everybody loves to see Alabama play, it would mean a lot as well.”
Multiple parts of Gordon’s game are standing out to college coaches at the moment.
“They are saying they like my size, how disciplined I am, my speed and how I come down and hit,” Gordon said.
At 6-foot and 175 pounds, the Jackson product was a physical safety, who had no problem coming downhill and getting his nose dirty by making big hits on ball carrier during the 2022 football season.
Gordon wants to continue to take strides forward in his coverage techniques and build on his physical playing style.
“My strength is my tackling ability,” said Gordon. “I feel like I need to work on off-man coverage more than anything.”
