Jahmyr Gibbs, a former Alabama football standout, told reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine that he met with the Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. Gibbs presents the big-play threat that owner Jerry Jones loves for his teams to have. Ceedee Lamb is the No. 1 receiver for the Cowboys; however, Gibbs showed the Crimson Tide last season he’s more than capable of catching passes. The native Georgian led all Alabama’s receivers in catches (44) in 2022, including three for touchdowns.
He clocked a 4.36 time in the 40-yard dash and may do more at Alabama’s Pro Day.
Gibbs fits what the Cowboys do well, but seeing if they take him will be interesting.
