Georgia defensive playmaker Jakob Gude schedules return visit to Alabama

Jakob Gude

Jakob Gude has locked in a return visit to Alabama after earning an offer from the Crimson Tide in January.

Gude told Touchdown Alabama he plans to return to Tuscaloosa on April 3.

The Georgia product continued his big month on the recruiting trail in January when he reported four offers after Alabama became the ninth school to offer him. His latest offers come from Maryland, Louisville and Ohio State.

Gude previously expressed his desire to return to Alabama for camp and his admiration for Alabama football when Nick Saban offered him.

“I love it, honestly,” Gude told Touchdown Alabama. “They produce greatness down there in Tuscaloosa, and I am trying to be great one day.”

Saban offering him was also a special moment for Gude.

“It was surreal,” Gude said. “I grew up watching Alabama football dominate, and he was the head man behind all of it, so it was just really special to me.”

Alabama’s coaching staff has remained in good contact with the rising prospect since offering him.

At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Gude made plays on the defensive side of the football for Sandy Creek High School en route to a state championship. He was a physical tackler, who was always around the football. He showed the type of playmaking ability that should help him work his way to near the top of Alabama’s defensive back board.
