Alabama football 2023 early enrollee spotlight: Kadyn Proctor

Kadyn Proctor poses with Alabama belt

Alabama football enrolled a good portion of its 2023 recruiting class in January.

Each of the Crimson Tide’s early enrollees will participate in the Crimson Tide’s full off-season program. Touchdown Alabama will highlight each of Alabama’s newest additions over the next few weeks in an article series.

We continue our series with the former No. 1 offensive tackle, Kadyn Proctor.

Kadyn Proctor

-Classification: Freshman

Position: Offensive Lineman

-Hometown: Des Moines, Iowa

-Height: 6-foot-7

-Weight: 330 pounds

Summary: Proctor created a lot of chatter when he flipped his commitment from Iowa to Alabama late in the 2023 recruiting cycle and signed with the Crimson Tide.

The former five-star is a product of Southeast Polk High School in Des Moines, Iowa. He held more than 45 Division 1 offers as a recruit.

The Iowa product is an athletic big man with a quick twitch with an ability to explode in a short area of space. He plays with a physical mindset with the goal to finish every block he engages in. Proctor also carries his mass really well as he appears to not carry much bad weight, which should open the door for him to play early and often in year one.

Alabama football’s starting left tackle from last season Tyler Steen has moved on from the program, leaving one of the Tide’s tackle positions up for grabs. Proctor is expected to challenge for the position.
