A former Alabama wide receiver is not giving up on an opportunity to play in the National Football League.

Slade Bolden, a Louisiana native, was having success with the Baltimore Ravens in rookie minicamp as an undrafted free agent until a sports hernia injury had him cut from the team. He had a workout with the New England Patriots, but the former three-star prospect in the 2018 class will return to his Alma mater Thursday. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Bolden will run routes and catch passes from Bryce Young at the Crimson Tide’s Pro Day. He looks to impress some teams and maybe score a contract opportunity. Bolden caught 42 passes from Young in 2021 for 408 yards and three touchdowns.

He helped the talented quarterback become the first player in school history at the position to win the Heisman Trophy.
